Somehow everyday practice merged with the mythic. It was our last evening following the thread of the Bodhicaryavatara and the six perfections and Buddhashanti gave a great talk on patience.

He compared Shantideva’s verses with Sangharakshita’s commentaries bringing to light spiritual receptivity and aesthetic appreciation in the context of Kshanti. As you can imagine this led to a great discussion after the talk.

Mary led us in the Green Tara puja. Wow! It felt that Tara joined us in the room and the words of the puja fueled the fires of Buddhashanti’s talk.
