Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche (“Precious Guru”), is a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism, widely credited with bringing Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. He is considered a second Buddha by followers of the Nyingma school, the oldest of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
This week, Buddhasevaka led celebrations of The Guru with a historical context, personal relationship with the figure and a guided meditation.
In the second half Dharmakasara invited Padmasambhava to join us and led a lovely spacious Padmasambhava puja complied by herself especially for the evening. The energy of the mantra was charged by the accompanying musical instruments.
