We enjoyed a more reflective evening at the Stockport Buddhist group this week. After leaving our shoes, coats and conversations at the door, we entered the shrine room, which was adorned with red cloths and low light.
Buddhasevaka led a spacious Metta Bhavana meditation. He spent a lot of time setting us up to sit by inviting us to experience the central channel and the chakras. We were then guided through all five stages of the practice, where he offered several different ways to connect.
There followed an open conversation between Buddhasevaka and Prasiddhi who offered us insights into their own practice.
After the break, we gathered into small groups. Prasiddhi encouraged us to listen to each others’ practice methods. Then in the final session, we were encouraged us to adopt something new!
